What Are Orbs?
Orb" is the popular term used to identify the irridescent, sometimes colourful, transparent or opaque circles that have been appearing in photos with greater frequency over the last 10 or so years. Some people believe orbs are an anomaly attributable to the use of digital cameras with airborne particulate brightly illuminated by a close-seated flash. However i believe these little specks/balls of light are some form of life.
All orbs are not spirits, just as all orbs are not dust, bugs, whatever. If the body is made of energy, and energy can change states, why can't the spirit (energy) change into an orb? You can't learn anything with a completely closed mind. The famous Orb debate goes on and on forever , because basically nobody knows for sure what they really are - which brings me to a phrase i heard recently
"Nobody is an expert in the paranormal until they're dead"Whatever they are, we may never know in our lifetime and we can blame it on lighting, air/light, or whatever, but the simple fact is, scientists want to know what they are and humans don't know everything that is going on.
I believe orbs are spirit beings...
(but remember this is my personal opinion)Most convincing to me now is the fact that I have had no orbs in any of my photographs over the last 20 years whether indoors, or out, using a film camera, or digital--until recently i became more curious and wanted them to appear. The first time this happened was when Stephen told me to quickly take a photo as he saw someone or something on a chair at a location we regularty visit known for paranormal activity, to make an appearance, and so when he asked for any entities to appear, I captured a brilliant little blue orb. Now in my photos, I get orbs appearing.

To narrow down your chances of mistaking ordinary objects for orbs and vortexes,
1. Watch for hair, camera straps, and other objects which could dangle in front of your camera. These will be illuminated by a bright camera flash and can produce confusing images in your photos.2. Use camcorders to capture evidence of orbs. A video will allow you to see how the object moves and will give you a clearer idea of whether it is natural or paranormal.
3. Use 35mm as well as digital cameras. Digital cameras are particularly prone to producing false orb photos.
4. Above all, back up your photography with other evidence! While one person is taking photos, another person could be using an EMF meter or digital thermometer in the same area. Something that could possibly pick up an odd reading at the same time as you are taking photos. The more evidence you can gather, the better.5. Do not smoke when you are attempting to take photos or video. Smoke can be mistaken as "ecto mist" in your photos. Also, if it is cold outside, watch your breath. Inhale and hold your breath as you take each photo. As everyone knows, your breath can show up on cold days and may contaminate your evidence.
6. Do not even bother to take photos outside when it is raining or snowing. Rain droplets or flakes of snow will always appear in your photos as false orbs.A great web site for information about orbs is Orbstudy.com They take a very scientific and objective look at the orb phenomena. If you have questions about orbs, this is a great web site to visit
